Wix’s Custom Code settings add code to every page of your site. You paste the widget code there.

Before you start

  • Your website widget. Kelu makes one for you when you create a knowledge base. Find it under Integrations → Website widget. You need the widget id and public key from the code on its Install tab.
  • Your site’s address on the widget’s Sites it works on list (Install tab), for example https://www.example.com.
  • A Wix Premium plan, a connected domain and a published site. Wix allows custom code only when all three are in place.

Add the widget

The widget’s Install tab shows these same steps with your code already filled in.
1

Open Custom Code

In your site’s dashboard, go to Settings. Under Development & integrations, click Custom Code.
2

Paste the snippet

Click + Add Custom Code at the top right. Paste the snippet into the text box, and name it, for example Kelu Ask AI.
<script async src="https://widget.kelu.dev/kelu-widget.js"
  data-widget-id="YOUR_WIDGET_ID"
  data-client-key="kl_pk_..."></script>
Use the code from your widget’s Install tab, or replace YOUR_WIDGET_ID and kl_pk_... with its values.
3

Choose pages and place

Under Add Code to Pages, choose All pages, and load the code once per visit. Under Place Code in, choose Body – end.
4

Apply

Click Apply.
Wix ties custom code to one domain. If you give your site a different domain, Wix deletes the code, so add it again.

Check it works

Open any page of your live site. A round icon button appears in the bottom-right corner, with the tooltip Ask AI. Ask a question and check that the answer lists its Sources. Nothing there? See Troubleshooting.
